JL Bourg Crowned 2026 EuroCup Champions as Moulare Secures First Major Title

April 28, 2026 will go down as a historic night for JL Bourg-en-Bresse, who captured their first-ever European trophy by winning the EuroCup. The French side edged Beşiktaş in a dramatic final, sealing the title with a 73–71 win in the second leg after a commanding 72–60 victory in the first.
The decisive moment came in the closing seconds, when Adam Mokoka delivered a clutch basket with just 1.1 seconds remaining, sealing the championship in front of a roaring crowd. The tightly contested finale highlighted Bourg’s resilience and composure under pressure.
Among the key contributors, Ivorian guard Assemian Moulare celebrated the first major title of his young career. He recorded 3 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists in 16 minutes during the second leg, adding to his 13-point performance in the opening game.
With this triumph, Bourg secures a place in next season’s EuroLeague and becomes only the third French men’s club to win the EuroCup, following AS Monaco Basket (2021) and Paris Basketball (2024).
