  Mozambican basketball legend Clarisse Machanguana inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame

  Clarisse Machanguana, a Mozambican legend and pioneer of African women's basketball, was inducted into the FIBA ​​Hall of Fame in 2026 at a ceremony in Berlin.   Guinea aims to improve refereeing with new training for officials.

  The second phase of the referee development program began on April 16 in Conakry, aiming to improve basketball officiating in Guinea. Fifteen referees—including eight women—participated in a Level 1 workshop led by Algerian instructor Kamal Hamoutene, focusing on rules, game management, and essential skills.
